for teaching practical real-world wisdom for life based on timeless biblical principles proven in the halls of history.
By avocation, I’m a teacher, writer, and speaker, having served in both professional and lay ministry roles for many years. I get a kick out of discovering key principles of life wisdom and sharing them in meaning ways through personal coaching and group instruction. I regularly teach and provide biblical guidance on wisdom for living, establishing personal boundaries, understanding relationships and dating, and general counseling. A skilled and dynamic public speaker, I’ve presented and taught before business groups, churches, parachurch organizations, and other private audiences.
In my day job, I work in information security for a Fortune 100 firm, serving as as a technology manager for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) . Throughout my career, I’ve served as a manager, executive, consultant, and single contributor. Are there two sides to me? Sure! My experiences and training combine to provide me a relatively unique perspective to life, work, and ministry. In other words, I live in the real world.
I live near Atlanta, Georgia, and I’m a father of four and grandfather of two. I’m a proud graduate of Clemson University (BSET) and of Dallas Theological Seminary (MABS).
I’ve worked in both secular and ministry roles. I’m a former pastor and music director. I’ve worked for many years in technology and business consulting, and my daytime career is Information Security functioning as a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) manager for a major IT service company.
